Pure Tin Plating

Purpose

For electronics, tin has the ability to protect the base metal (typically copper, nickel, and tin-nickel) from oxidation, thereby preserving the solderability of the base metal.

Facilities & Capability

For your Tin plating requirements, Golden Plate Electroplating has facilities for plating using both Jig & Barrel process.

Characteristics

Tin is a silvery, blue-white metal and it is soft and very ductile. Tin has excellent solderability and corrosion resistance, it offers tarnish resistance, making it a good choice as a decorative finish. Zinc migration is common for copper alloy material, therefore a undercoat of copper or nickel is recommend.
